
Matthew Cropley is a game writer, narrative designer, playwright, author, and fan of the Oxford comma. He’s currently a Senior Narrative Designer/Game Writer for Titan Quest 2 (Grimlore Games). Prior to this, Matthew worked as the Lead Writer on June’s Journey (Wooga), a murder mystery hidden object game game set in the 1920s (the number one hidden object game in the world, worth over 1 billion euros).
His most recent short story, Seeking the Great Current, co-authored with #1 New York Times bestseller Sean Williams, was published in 2018 in Daily Science Fiction. His other short fiction has been published in Dimension6 and Sword and Sorcery Magazine, and he has written and directed plays for the Adelaide Fringe Festival. He has also written and reviewed for the British Fantasy Award nominated Grimdark Magazine and bestfantasybooks.com. He has presented sold-out writing workshops at schools, libraries and for Writers SA, and has organised several successful writing festivals. For his efforts organising the Salisbury Writers’ Festival in 2018 he was nominated for the Salisbury Legends Award.
